keep server 24/7?

ok, james to maintain players and get the server running you ever need to keep the server dedicated( keep computer on 24/7) or buy a VPS( virtual private server)
this needs to be done because noone will stick around for server to come online i will stay but will over people?
as i said above ^^ server need to be 24/7 no matter how many votes, because if server is 77% online for an example the server will never get noticed and you will never reach the servers full protential.

i agree if u can get something like that vps thing or just leave ur laptop on because i have had a few friends from my school who have said the cant be asked to wait for server to come online. but tbh i dont mind because i like the server i will wait but as said before other probs wont. at the end of it its your choice mate .
